Tank Servicing - AS 1851-2012
AS 1851-2012 calls for fire water storage tanks to be inspected every year. If the tanks are fitted with liners, they are required to be inspected below the waterline. This is not something that can be done visually from the inspection hatch. We are able to carry out internal inspections below the waterline using one of our ROVs (Remotely Operated Vessels). This is simpler, quicker and more cost effective than having divers inspect the liner and allows the tanks to remain operational and online throughout the process. Once we have carried out the inspection, we present you with a report of our findings with photos of any items of concern. The benefits of this method of inspection include:
OPERATIONAL - The tanks remain online and available throughout the operation
OH&S - No confined space or diving operations
FINANCIAL - More cost effective than employing a dive team
We have several technicians trained to carry out the inspections, providing us with the ability to carry out the tank inspection while attending to carry out the annual servicing of the pump sets, allowing you to provide your clients with comprehensive reports.
